Is It Time For A Brake Check

If someone were to ask you what the most important safety system in your car was, what would be your answer? The airbags? Back-up camera? Something else? The only correct answer to the question is the brakes. Your brakes, and their ability to stop your car, are what keep you safest as you navigate from point A to point B, and keeping them in great shape should be top of mind for all drivers. So how do you know it is time for a trained professional to take a look at your brakes? Keep reading!

When Was Your Last Brake Service?

When did you last have your brakes looked at? If it has been more than a year, or you can’t remember the last time you had a brake service, your car is definitely due. Most shops will recommend at least a yearly brake service, with most recommending a more frequent look at your brakes. During this service, our team will inspect your entire braking system, looking for any issues that might be present. If we find any, we will discuss them with you before we make any repairs.

Squealing & Grinding

If you’ve neglected brake service and you’ve noticed squealing, screeching, or grinding from your brakes, it is time for a brake service. These noises generally come when your brake pads or shoes are worn beyond their safest point, and they need replacement. If your brakes make noise when you attempt to stop, that is your car’s way of letting you know it is time for a brake service.

Make An Appointment

If your brakes are screeching in protest or you can’t remember the last brake service you had, the time is right for a brake service and inspection from our team of professional technicians. All you have to do is make an appointment!
